The Pevensie children — Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy — are evacuated from London during WWII and sent to live with a distant relative: a twinkling professor with a vast country manor. It’s there that everything changes during a game of hide-and-seek, when Lucy, the youngest, steps through a passage of coats and into another world.
To help bring Andrew Adamson's beautifully realised 2005 filmic adaptation of the C.S. Lewis classic The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to the big screen, Wētā Workshop made armour, weapons, scannable maquettes and hero props — ornate Turkish delight box included. In addition to this, our design team undertook some initial conceptual work to help visualise this fantastical realm — its sweeping environments, its White Witch and its Minotaurs, and its great battles between good and evil.
