Set in the year 2154, director Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium sees the planet polluted to the point where the rich have decamped to an orbiting space station while those residing on a ruined Earth struggle. After working on District 9, we couldn't wait to help design the polarized world of this sci-fi film, as well as manufacture weapons, props, specialty costumes and prosthetics. These included poseable robot dummies and pupettereed robots, and a biomechanical-like suit called a hulc suit for protagonist Max, played by Matt Damon.
