Wētā Workshop worked for legendary prop master Brad Elliott on over 400 weapons, gadgets and more for Zack Snyder’s epic space fantasy Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. The pieces that were designed and built to help create Rebel Moon’s fictional galaxy ruled by the imperialistic Motherworld ranged from Imperial handguns to farmer's rifles, from coin-based currency to robotic restraint mechanisms that would ambush and capture their targets. The firearms required that they be designed around the premise of a mechanism that superheats small pellets of metal and fires them as molten rounds.
